2 Way SMS Messaging

2-Way SMS messaging allows you to communicate with your customers in real-time!

So, how does this all work? There are 2 locations you can view and reply to your customers messages or send a new message to your customers. The 2-way messaging works off the mobile number placed on an appointment. Below we will go over the methods to accessing messages and how you are notified of new incoming messages. Please note, for a conversation to exist for an appointment, it MUST have a functioning mobile number assigned to the appointment.

Incoming Message Notification
1. When a customer sends a message to your SMS number, you will be notified on the Dashboard page, under the "Recent SMS and Confirmation Call Notifications". This area will show you the last 8 activities received. If you need to see more, click the "View All" button and then click on the "Notifications" tab. You can click on the green "View Conversation" button and you will be taken to a new page where you can view the last 30 days worth of conversation between your company and the mobile number.

2. If you are on the "Edit Appointment" screen and that specific customer sends you a message, the chat area will update with the new message you received.

Responding to Messages

You can respond to messages from 2 locations.

1. If you click on "View Conversation" from the Dashboard, you will be taken to a "Conversations" page. Here you can view and respond to the conversation. If you send a message to a customer, the customer will receive it immediately, as long has the customers phone is in an area that has service. If the customer replies, your chat screen will update in real-time.

To the right of the chat screen (on desktop browser) or below the chat screen (on mobile devices) you will see a list of all the appointments associated with the mobile number. You can view any of the appointments by clicking on "View Appointment".

2. When you click on an appointment from the calendar, you will be taken to the "Edit Appointment" page. On this page, you can view and respond to the conversation. If you send a message to a customer, the customer will receive it immediately, as long has the customers phone is in an area that has service. If the customer replies, your chat screen will update in real-time.

Sending a Message to a Number that is Not Attached to an Appointment

At this time, this feature is not available. A mobile number must be attached to an appointment to be able to achieve 2-way messaging.
